The U-F-M B.V. / Ultrasonic Flow Management flow meters are installed by clamping the ultrasonic sensors to the outside of the pipe. As a result, there are no intrusions created at any time which could allow bacterial growth inside the pipe.
As the ultrasonic sensors are never in contact with the flowing medium, the hand-held U-F-M KATflow 200 and portable U-F-M KATflow 230 flow meter can be used on many different applications regardless of the type of fluid. In addition to that, all instruments – including the U-F-M KATflow 150 for permanent installation – work on all common pipe materials and diameters from 10 mm to over 6000 mm (0.4” > 118”).
Low response time
With a response time of only one second, the U-F-M KATflow flow meters can measure rapidly changing flow velocities. They are therefore capable of gaining almost instant readings of starting flow.
High temperature tolerance
The ultrasonic sensors are designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 600 °C and more. As a result, they can be used on any application involved in or related to the food and drink production such as chilling and heating stages.
Thermal energy consumption metering
